Find Your Ride
The e-scooter apps categorize the rentals by city, so you want to use an app that supports your city for getting a rental scooter. The price of the rides for e-scooters and e-bikes varies per city. To know exactly the cost in your city, download the app for the rental provider you like. Then add your info. There is no cost to download their app. You are only charged once you actually use an ekick scooter(or ebike). A map will load with available ekick scooters and ebikes(if available) to rent and where they are located. If none show, search a wider area on your map to locate them.Start Your Ride
Scan the QR code on the escooter to start your ride. Before you ride, check the scooter tires, flex the brake levers, and check the lights and bell to make sure they all work properly. Give the frame a look for any issues. Most rental apps have a slow mode to get you going, then you can change it over to standard mode. Each rental company may have a different name for these modes. Lastly, hit the 'end ride' button when your done your ride; this disconnects you from their app so your no longer being charged for your ride. Bird Rentals Canada (Bird Canada website), is one of the most well known rental providers. This year marks their 6th year in Canada. The company now operates in five provinces, including Saskatchewan, Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, and Alberta; and now provides e-bike and e-scooter rides in 26 Canadian cities.
They originated in the USA. They have an app for Android and iOS. You can view all the available cities in the app as they are adding new cities in Canada. Scan the QR code on the scooter to unlock your scooter and begin your ride. Select 'Group Ride' is you want to add additional riders. The app offers Beginner mode for newbie drivers, and SAFE mode to discourage drinking and scooting. Earn future ride credits by snapping a photo of yourself wearing your helmet. Instructions for your Lime Ride
From Lime website: 'Lime charges a fixed rate to unlock a vehicle and then a per minute rate to ride. You can see the price for your location and vehicle type in the app before you start your ride. Rates and promotions may vary by location and time. In Europe, prices are inclusive of all taxes. Once you end your ride, charges get rounded up to the nearest minute'.

Voi's rental services span more than 100 cities throughout Europe; including - Vienna, Brussels, Aalborg, Aarhus, Odense, Helsinki, Jyrsskyla, Tampere, Turku, Marseille, Milan, Turin, Rho, Modena, Oslo, Malaga, Seville, Stockholm, Zurich, Cambridge, London, and Oxford.
Voi also rents e-bikes. Pricing for e-scooters and e-bikes, can vary depending on the city you rent from. Best to download their free app, then check the rate for the city you live in. Voi offers daily pay as you go rides, day pass for 24hr, and monthly subscription pass. With the day and monthly passes you don't pay the 'unlocking' fee.

Neuron e-scooters are available to rent across several countries. Like most rental companies they offer both e-scooter, and an e-bike for longer commutes.
Their N3 e-scooter is the first commercial-grade e-scooter specially created for the sharing economy. It has 11.5" tires, and a large 21cm(8.2") deck to accommodate a more comfortable ride. And, it has a mechanical and electrical braking system.

The Fixed Fare Pass has a flat rate for a pre determined time; example; like 15 minutes. Fixed fare pass can be used for single rides or group rides.
A Minutes Bundle Pass allows you to purchase a set amount of minutes that you can use for rides within a specific number of days.
